Photographing strangers 23 - Monomad Challenge.

Today's photos come with a funny story, as they happened by pure chance.

I was walking around the fair as usual and headed towards the stage, since there were artistic performances there daily, and it was common for many people to gather in that place. When I arrived, several dance groups from my city were performing, and next to the stage, a group of girls were getting ready for their performance. One of the moms saw me with the camera in hand and asked if I could take a photo of her daughter. I very kindly said yes and took this photo:

Las fotos de hoy vienen con una historia muy divertida pues las fotos sucedieron por pura casualidad del destino.

Yo estaba caminando por los pabellones de la feria como de costumbre y me dirigí hacia el escenario ya que allí hacian presentaciones artisticas a diario y era muy comun que hubiera mucha gente reunida en ese lugar, al llegar allí se estaban presentando varios grupos de baile de mi ciudad y a un lado de la tarima estaba un grupo de niñas preparandose para su presentacion, una de las mamás me vio con la camara en mano y me preguntó si le podia hacer una foto a su hija, yo muy amablemente dije que si y tomé esta foto:

To my surprise, in less than a minute I was already surrounded by the rest of the dance group members, all asking if I could take a photo of them too. I said yes and took the following photo:

Para mi sorpresa, en menos de 1 minuto ya estaba rodeado por el resto de integrantes del grupo de danza, todas preguntandome si les podia hacer una foto tambien, yo dije que si y tomé la siguiente foto:

When I turned to the side, all the girls were already lined up waiting for their turn to be photographed, and there were so many of them, hahaha.

Cuando volteo a un lado, ya todas las niñas estaban en fila esperando su turno para pasar a ser fotografiadas y eran muchisimas jajajaja

There were more photos, but I'm not showing you all of them so as not to make the post too long. I only showed you the photos that I thought were "the best". Some of the girls wanted photos with some of their classmates and others with their mom.

Eran mas fotos pero no les muestro todas las fotos para no hacer el post muy largo, solo les mostré las fotos que me parecieron "las mejores".

Algunas de las niñas quisieron fotos con algunas de sus compañeras y otras con su mama.

It turns out there were so many of them that it took me a long time to photograph them all, and in the meantime, the group that was on stage while I was taking the photos of the girls finished their performance. When they came down from the stage, they saw me photographing the girls and they immediately assumed that I was "the photographer of the event" and without asking anything, they began to arrange themselves so that I could take photos of them too. I took all this with a lot of humor since I am really passionate about photography so I took all the photos they wanted.

First I photographed them all together:

Resulta que eran tantas que me tardé un buen rato fotografiandolas a todas y en eso, el grupo que estaba en el escenario mientras le hacia las fotos a las niñas terminó su presentacion y al bajarse del escenario me vieron fotografiando a las niñas y ellas inmediatamente asumieron que yo era "el fotografo del evento" y sin preguntar nada se comenzaron a acomodar para que les hiciera fotos a ellas tambien, yo me tomé todo esto con mucho humor ya que de verdad me apasiona la fotografia y les fuí haciendo todas las fotos que quisieran.

I had a 50mm lens and I explained that there were too many people for my lens, that it was better to take photos in groups or individually. The girls decided to do it by group:

Tenia un lente 50mm y les expliqué que eran demasiadas personas para mi lente, que era mejor hacerle fotos por grupos o individuales, las chicas decidieron por grupo:

Then I asked who wanted some individual photos and I took a couple of photos of those who wanted to, we got a very nice result:

Luego les pregunté quien queria algunsa fotos individuales y les hice un par de fotografias a las que quisieron, obtuvimos un resultado muy lindo:

Everyone was asking me "where these photos would come out" as if I belonged to some company, hahaha. I explained that I was an independent photographer and that I could send them the photos for free without any problem, we shared contact information and said goodbye.

Todas las personas me preguntaban que "en donde saldrian estas fotos" como si yo perteneciese a alguna empresa jajaja yo les expliqué que yo era fotografo independiente y que les podia enviar las fotos de manera gratuita sin ningun problema, compartimos informacion de contacto y nos despedimos.
