Photographing strangers 9 - Monomad Challenge.

My posts might seem a bit repetitive to you at this point, but for me, it's been quite the opposite. I've been going to the fair every day and meeting hundreds of new faces, hundreds of opportunities to take new photos.

In the midst of my daily walk through the fair, I saw this lovely girl with curly hair and decided to approach her and ask if I could take a couple of photos. I positioned her in a spot where the sun was behind her to create a nice backlight effect.

Something I really enjoy about this dynamic is that it's literally just me with my camera and my little 50mm 1.8/f lens, photographing the world, nothing more...

I have to force myself to be quite extroverted and sociable to be able to approach these strangers and talk to them, and I also have to adapt very quickly to the conditions of the place to be able to create good photos in just a few minutes.

Another thing you might not know is that most of these people have no idea how to "pose" in front of a camera, so I'm always telling them what to do and how to stand to get the best out of them.

Sort:

I see that every shot has its own value, as do the models who already understand the world of modeling.

None of these people are models

Gorgeous ladies!!! 👍👍👍
😎

Venezuela is full of them!

It's a pity that it's on the other side of the globe - a photographer's paradise!)

Nice work. Not just the images, but taking the step to approach and photograph strangers. You said it may seem repetitive to us, but I know over time, you'll notice differences in how you shoot, how you approach. Gotta love the evolution of our craft!
