This is the Hercules Tower located in La Coruña, it is a lighthouse that measures 57 meters high and according to Wikipedia has 1900 years of construction, although it looks in good condition to be so old, I guess it has gone through several reconstructions.
At the beginning of last year I visited this tower on a walk I did in La Coruña, the truth was an exhausting walk because in one day we visited many things in the city and the last one was this lighthouse. By the time I took these pictures I was already very tired so I did not take too many pictures, in fact we did not have time to enter, because we had to buy tickets in a secluded area of the tower and we were already very tired of walking, but I told myself that later I would return and I would take more time to admire this monument, time has passed and I have not been able to return, you should never leave things for later because we do not know if that "later" will come.
I remember when we came back from the tower we saw a very wide entrance where cars can go up and get very close to the tower, but we did not know and took a path by indications of some people, although we took the longest route it was not so bad because we could appreciate several curious sculptures that were on the route, we also ran into some vegetation and flowers on the road.
There are many stories and mythological legends around this tower, one of them says that the tower is called Hercules because this hero came to rescue the people of a tyrant king and after he beheaded him buried his head and then on that ground the tower was erected, another legend says that a king ordered to build the tower to see Ireland from the top of it.
Whatever the true story of the reason for the construction, the important thing is that today is an icon of the city and a very visited by tourists who come to this place.

Esta es la Torre Hércules situada en La Coruña, es un faro que mide 57 metros de altura y según Wikipedia tiene1900 años de construcción, aunque se ve en buen estado para ser tan antigua, supongo que ha pasado por varias reconstrucciones.
A principios del año pasado visité esta torre en un paseo que hice por La Coruña, la verdad fue un paseo agotador porque en un día recorrimos muchas cosas en la ciudad y la última fue este faro. Para cuando tomé estas imágenes ya estaba muy cansada así que no hice demasiada fotos, de echo no tuvimos tiempo para entrar, porque había que comprar los tickets en una zona retirada de la torre y ya estábamos muy cansados de caminar, pero me dije que después volvería y me tomaría más tiempo para admirar este monumento, ya ha pasado el tiempo y no he podido volver, nunca hay que dejar las cosas para después porque no sabemos si ese "después" vendrá.
Recuerdo que cuando nos devolvimos de la torre vimos una entrada muy amplia por donde pueden subir los autos y llegar muy cerca de la torre, pero nosotros no sabíamos y tomamos un sendero por indicaciones de algunas personas, aunque tomamos el recorrido más largo no fue tan malo porque pudimos apreciar varias esculturas curiosas que estaban en la ruta, también nos topamos con algo de vegetación y flores en el camino.
Hay muchas historias y leyendas mitológicas en torno a esta torre, una de ellas dice que la torre es llamada Hércules porque este héroe vino a rescatar el pueblo de un tirano rey y después que lo decapitó enterró su cabeza y luego sobre ese terreno se erigió la torre, otra leyenda habla que un rey mandó a construir la torre para poder ver Irlanda desde la cima de esta.
Sea cual sea la verdadera historia del motivo de la construcción, lo importante es que hoy es un ícono de la ciudad y una parte muy visitada por los turistas que vienen a este lugar.
