Hello everyone, my friends in the Black and White community! I hope you're all doing well and that everything is going smoothly. I'm Manti, and I'm back with another photography session and another blog post. Today, I want to take you to a place that many of you haven't seen or perhaps even heard of. It's a photography session focused on the architecture of a historical building – something that, while not very common in my area, was a prevalent practice in ancient times. It doesn't date back incredibly far, but it's interesting to note that these colossal structures were built without the aid of modern technology. It truly raises the question of how they managed to transport the materials and mortar to such heights, shaping them into these conical forms.
Here, we find ourselves inside a brick kiln that's over 300 or even 400 years old. I'm not sure if you've ever seen a brick kiln before, but come along with me as we explore photos from both its exterior and interior. It's fascinating to observe the corridors where the bricks are placed, and the fire, with its intense heat known as the kiln's temperature, begins to bake the raw bricks. I'm particularly excited to share this beautiful structure with you and let you enjoy its intricate details. I've tried to capture the photography from angles that might be intriguing to you, adding a bit of artistic flair to the structures.
Our first photo begins with a very distant shot, allowing you to grasp the sheer size of this edifice. Although not all the corridors are visible in this image, there are actually more of them. Inside the kiln, there's a dome-like structure, a series of interconnected passageways, and designated areas for the exit and placement of bricks. It's remarkable how these flawless structures, with their impressive heights, have endured over time. It's truly a testament to their craftsmanship and enduring strength.
In my second photo, I ventured beneath the conical structure, and it was fascinating how the sunlight illuminated it. I precisely pinpointed the center, where darkness and light converged, positioning it at the focal point to achieve an aesthetically pleasing composition. As we progress further, you'll see the entire structure, with the darkness intensifying as we ascend. It's truly awe-inspiring how they managed to construct something so beautiful and majestic without the technology and tools we have today.
Now, let's move towards the entrance. After exploring various perspectives of the structure from the outside, we'll venture inside together. We'll traverse this lengthy corridor, which might evoke a sense of apprehension. However, I didn't experience that feeling while I was there. Instead, I was genuinely captivated by the beauty and precision with which it was crafted, with its meticulously spaced openings. These openings were designed to channel oxygen, effectively fueling the fire to reach its maximum heat. I captured photos from every nook and cranny, allowing you to fully appreciate how these raw bricks transformed into such a robust and enduring structure over an extended period.
I actually created a music video in this area a while back, which I shared on my Instagram account. I'll include a link to it at the end of this post, so feel free to check it out if you're interested. I wanted to make this post a bit different. In the final photo, you'll see me and my friend's belongings as we stand beside this structure. I found it intriguing and thought I'd experiment with this style, sharing photos of these captivating structures with you
Throughout the photography session, I aimed to preserve the artistry of photography while highlighting the intricate details of the structure. The photos were captured in black and white to further emphasize the antiquity and historical significance of these artifacts, conveying a deeper sense of their age to the audience.
