Hello to all my friends in the black and white community. I hope you are all well and everything is going well there. This is Manti, and I'm back with another photo shoot and another blog. Today's photo shoot is about the groom getting ready in his room before meeting his bride on their wedding day. The photos were taken considering the personality of the bride and groom, who were deeply in love with nostalgic music, and also the atmosphere of their home, which resembled a royal mansion to some extent.
While I was busy photographing the groom, my dear colleague Farideh Shahidi, whom most of you know, was busy filming and photographing the bride. We usually divide the work because men are sometimes more comfortable with men and women with women, and also due to the time constraints on the wedding day, dividing our work helps everything to be on time. Our photos were both detailed and full-shot. I used a window for lighting, which also had a balcony where I placed my light and light stand to get a better photo.
His suit and bow tie, along with his glasses and mustache, made his face look interesting and unique. I liked it. I took detailed photos of him buttoning his cufflinks, putting on his ring, and straightening his shirt sleeves. A flower on the left side of his chest on his jacket completed the design of his style. I'm facing him while he's putting the ring on his finger, where you can see the flower very easily and clearly, although it's in the background and a bit blurry.
He loved the songs of Shervin and Googoosh and similar styles, and after that, they were getting ready for a tango dance downstairs with Mahsa, whom I brought with me, and they also wanted to have this dance in their ceremony.
There are some points about lighting and posing that I usually try to emphasize more in my photography blogs, although the dear ones who are here are mostly my teachers, and I usually learn more here. The fact is that the face should be turned towards the light, and the light that is hit is better to be at a 45-degree angle. If the shadows need to be slightly blurred,
if you have one light source, you can use a reflector behind it, exactly in line with the light that is hit, to reflect it on the subject or the place where the objects are formed.
It was a very big and exciting project that cannot be fully covered in one blog post. Join us today and in the coming days to see more of this beautiful ceremony from different angles.
Thank you for accompanying me to the end of the post. I hope you are all healthy wherever you are. Until we meet again, goodbye.
