Man front of a mirror - monomad daily chalenge

in Black And White2 months ago

Hello everyone, my dear friends in the black and white community! How are you all doing? I hope everything is going well on your end. This is Manti, and I'm back with another photo shoot and blog post.

Today's shoot features a stylish man in a suit, posing in front of a mirror. We'll be exploring a few different poses he struck, which can serve as a great reference for those who want to try various poses in front of a mirror.

One crucial aspect is the lighting. We need to ensure that there are no reflections in the mirror while also considering the photographer's position. It's important to place yourself in a spot where you won't be captured in the reflection. Additionally, when asking the model to look straight ahead, it's essential to guide them towards the lens to capture a direct gaze.

For this shoot, I decided to create a Rembrandt lighting effect by slightly separating the model from the mirror and wall. This allowed me to achieve beautiful shadows.

I positioned the light at a 45-degree angle, facing the wall. The model's expression and pose are incredibly important. I carefully selected the best angle and began shooting. I asked the model to experiment with different poses, such as putting their hands in their pockets, adjusting their tie, or striking a pose as if they were getting ready for a business meeting.

Everything went very smoothly. I decided to apply a black-and-white filter to the images to enhance the mood and make the shadows more pronounced. Thank you for joining me on this journey. I hope you all have a wonderful day
