Hi everyone, my friends in the black and white community. I hope you're all doing well and that everything is going smoothly. This is Menti, and I'm back with another photo shoot and blog post. This time, our subject is my close friend, Hussein, who recently purchased an amazing camera and lens after a lot of research and consultation. He's now joined me as one of my best photography students, and together, we're diving into the world of art.
The photos you'll see in this blog are of Hussein. After setting up his new camera—a Sony Alpha 7 III mirrorless body—with a Sigma Art 28-70mm f/2.8 lens, I decided to take a few shots of him in different poses to create a strong professional profile. For the first few shots, I had Hussein sit on the couch. In one, he was working with his camera, and in the other, he was looking off to the side with the camera in hand. I used the natural light from the room, as we had plenty of it, and a plain background helped to make the photos look even better. Hussein was wearing a plaid flannel shirt over a turtleneck, a perfect winter outfit for the cold weather we've been having.
Next, I had Hussein stand up and look over his shoulder, shooting from the opposite angle. He actually liked this shot the most. Finally, I finished the shoot with a close-up of Hussein looking directly at the camera with his eye to the viewfinder. I gave him some tips and shared my experiences to help him improve his skills.
Thank you all for reading. I hope you enjoy these photos. As we approach the end of the year, I wish you all a wonderful holiday season and a fantastic new year. See you in my next post. Take care!
