Hi everyone, my dear black-and-white community. I hope you're all doing well and everything is going smoothly on your end. It's me, Menti, back with another photo shoot and another blog post.
Today's shoot was completely spontaneous and unplanned. I was on a video shoot with my colleague, Peter, who seemed quite down and lost in thought. I couldn't tell what was bothering him so much, but I could clearly see the depth of emotion in his eyes and the weight on his shoulders.
Let's take a look at these photos together.
I saw my chance and captured a few portraits of him without him noticing. All the photos were taken with a high zoom from a distance, so he was completely unaware of me.
You'll see the various emotions playing across Peter's face, as his mood shifts. When you convert photos to black and white, the emotions become even more pronounced and clear. Without the distraction of colors, we can focus solely on the expression in his eyes and the lines on his face. That's one of the great advantages of black-and-white portrait photography.
Peter and I had been filming until late last night, and most of the work fell on me. He was clearly preoccupied, so I didn't want to add to his stress. I let him work through whatever was on his mind.
Remember, this portrait photography is an art form that requires creativity and practice. Use the rules as a guide, but don't be afraid to break them and develop your own unique style.
You don't always need a fancy camera or lens to capture a great photo. Sometimes, a good feeling can be captured with any camera
Well, that's it for today's post. I hope you're all having a wonderful day, wherever you are.
