MONOMAD Challenge - Textures for the end of the year

in Black And White3 years ago

There is no better entry for a good exit.

Black and white, what has always been taken as a reference of extremes. The good and the bad, the beautiful and the ugly, the high and the low, the fat and the skinny. The synonyms and the antonyms.
I stick with textures. And that's why I choose these three images, because I like the plots they leave in sight. Also the photo itself, its image and what it conveys. I want to make it clear that I am no expert in photography, I am totally an amateur, but I liked this challenge and decided to participate.

flor.png
(Málaga, Spain)

 - The geometric flower. The golden proportions. Perfection in nature. It reminded me of a movie I used to watch when I was little "Donald in the land of mathematics". I remember that I was terrible at that subject, and my family gave me that movie as a present to see if I could appreciate it, but instead I only looked at the parts of nature that were in that video. One of the frames showed the golden proportions with the measurements of a seashell that later became a flower. When I saw this flower I relived that many times I saw that movie. For the memories of my youth

Drops.png
(Bilbao, Basque Country)

 - Something so simple with raindrops, but at the same time so complicated, because without them we would not be, we would not be. We are water, the earth is water, we need water. And depending on the way it falls, it is capable of erasing everything that was there before, like a wave erases what is on the shore and some drops erase what was on a crystal. Let us use this as a metaphor to erase all that we do not want to enter with us in the coming year.

(Siem Reap, Cambodia)

- This couple carved on a wall of the Angkor Wat temples in Cambodia. It's almost ten years ago now, but I distinctly remember the moment I took this image. When I looked through the lens and focused only on this couple I was paralyzed for a few seconds looking at what I could see. I don't know what the official or historical meaning of these figures is, but for me they reflect love, the happy couple, and the joy that comes from having an important person by your side who knows how to make you laugh as well as love you. I choose it to end this year with a bit of laughter therapy as a couple.

This in my entry for the #monomad challenge
