La Batanga, my entry to today's Monomad Challenge.

In 48 hours I will be traveling again, I had some weeks without going out to the town for different reasons, mainly because of work and the time I have dedicated to my garden, but this Wednesday will be a good date to travel, the purpose of the trip is to go to the coastal area, an area that is not touristic and that is why I like it, the nature is pure in this place.

That made me remember these pictures, of a very similar area, although today's pictures are about the Batanga dock, the place from where you can take a boat to Mexcaltitan Island, this area is more touristic but it keeps a rural air that I also like.

The purpose of this trip is to go to an area unknown to most people, and that in a way I have to keep secret to avoid poaching of an endangered species, the jaguar, a huge feline emblematic of the entire coastal area of the state of Nayarit in Mexico.

I have been close on other occasions, but this time we will go further inland sailing between the arms of the mangrove, hopefully I will be able to take pictures of the Jaguar in the wild, it will be a dangerous mission but the experience is worth it, especially if the pictures I take capture the beauty of this beautiful animal.

The local fishermen know the place and the risks that may be involved, but I will be accompanied by a cousin who lives there and has a lot of experience sailing in the area, so wish me luck, if all goes well by Friday I would be posting some of the pictures, and if something goes wrong, well, I may never post them, if you know what I mean?

For now I leave you with these photographs that I really like, whenever I see roads and lonely places I don't hesitate to take pictures, today's photos of the boats had that concept, tools that over time are left in oblivion, but that tell the story of their work, not all boats are in disuse as you could see, sailing and fishing will always be in force, so see you in the next post.
