The weather has been complicating things in the city, on the one hand we have winter and lower temperatures, and on the other hand we have some rain and a lot of wind, not a good combination to walk around the park taking pictures, and although I commented that this year I wanted to use more the 50mm lens to take pictures with more bokeh, the truth is that with the 55-250mm lens you can also get something interesting.
Today I came across this bird that as far as I found information is called: Glaucidium hoskinsii, it was quite difficult to see between the branches of the trees, it did not make noise, did not move and was hidden among the leaves and branches of the tree, plus as I say the weather has complicated things a bit, luckily at the time of taking the pictures the cloudy sky distributed the light enough to not have to raise the ISO noise too much.
I could only take three pictures, the previous one was the best picture of all and those eyes stared at me and somehow hypnotized me and I could not continue taking pictures, besides the bird flew to another tree and no matter how hard I looked I couldn't find it again.
The first picture was a complete mistake, the photo is out of focus but it was the start of today's work.
Already in the second picture everything improved a lot, the bird was still not aware of my presence and acted very natural looking for a mouse or lizard to feed, soon after realizing that I saw it was when I could take the cover photo and it was also when it flew, after seeing the picture I felt satisfied and finished my today's walk but I didn't continue taking pictures because I felt happy with today's result, it was the first time I take a picture of this bird, so I feel accomplished but with a new goal, to find it again and take better pictures is the next step, see you soon.
Beautiful photos and beutiful animal! I know how hard are those shots when the bird is behind all the branches, great job in getting those unblurred photos!
