This is my entry to today's Monomad Challenge, Metropolitan 2

I visited the Metropolitan Park again but this time my idea was to take pictures of birds, turtles, mice, actually I was open to all options, even if there was the opportunity to take a candid street type photograph, I wouldn't say no, so let's start with what I consider the best picture of the day, or at least of this post.

The truth is that to take this picture I had some problems because of the wind, and as this time I took the zoom lens, I usually have some problems when focusing on white surfaces, but in the end I think I got a good result, the other tennis was higher up and I decided that this would be enough, the other one did not look interesting but I do not rule out the idea of returning and take a picture of it too.

Just at the entrance of the park I took a look at the surroundings and I really repeat, in the city I am in it is very difficult to do architectural or street photography that looks interesting due to the fact that there are not really big and striking buildings, hopefully in the next few years that may change but for the moment I settled for these couple of pictures that I show you below, it was almost noon and the sun was shining strong, so I am happy with the results.

Already inside the park I started to take some pictures that I will show in different posts, and while I was under a tree resting I heard a small bird over my head, so I didn't waste time and took the picture, it was quite complicated because it was almost against the sun, it's a miracle that there were no lens flare in the image.

Then I saw this heron that at the moment of taking the picture with the automatic focus I had problems because the focus wasn't good, it happened what I mentioned, when they are white surfaces the focus is usually confused, I almost didn't edit the picture because there was no point.

However, in the second photograph, manual focusing gives a much better result, although for reasons of time, speed and comfort, I don't deny that autofocus usually helps me as it should.

In the following photograph as I mentioned earlier, I was willing to do some candid photography, and although it was difficult to make the focus I think the result is good.

Finally I find damage again, and the truth is that it is something sad that I must tell you, in September of last year 2024, a young man of only 23 years old died while playing soccer, an electric shock ended his life and since then the field remains closed to the public, the place is cordoned off and the space where young people used to play sports is closed.

The city government decided not to invest in repairs, so you can draw your own conclusions, I leave you a link to a short note on the news published on September 24, 2024, see you.

Good shots, details and harmony in the different scenes. On the other hand I think that for architectural photography you don't need big buildings, we just need to look with another perspective what is in our homes.

Thanks, I'll be going downtown these days, I guess my best option to get something a bit interesting will be to use the kit lens of my M50, the 15-45mm, I'll show you what I got.

Nice shot. I like the first one photo

I have to honestly say that some of your portraits today are so amazing, photographing nature with a lack of light you did, and one of these birds became my favorite today:
