Hello!
I’ve always lived in Caracas, Venezuela, and while I’ve never traveled abroad, I’ve had the chance to "travel" through the internet and the stories of loved ones lucky enough to do so. If there’s one thing Venezuelans are especially proud of, it’s our baseball players.

Siempre he vivido en Caracas, Venezuela, y aunque nunca he viajado fuera del país, he podido "viajar" a través del internet y de las experiencias de mis seres queridos que han tenido la suerte de hacerlo. Si hay algo de lo que los venezolanos nos sentimos muy orgullosos, es de nuestros jugadores de béisbol.

Baseball has practically become our national sport. From a young age, it’s always been a part of our lives. I remember when I was a kid, we used to play during school recess with a ball we made from the aluminum foil that wrapped our breakfasts.

Este deporte se ha convertido prácticamente en el deporte nacional. Desde muy pequeños, siempre ha estado presente en nuestras vidas. Recuerdo que, cuando era niño, jugábamos durante el recreo de la escuela con una pelota que hacíamos con el papel aluminio que envolvía nuestros desayunos.

In every neighborhood, in every corner, and under any conditions, you’ll always find kids, teenagers, and adults playing baseball in one form or another.

En cualquier barrio, en cualquier localidad y en las condiciones que sean, siempre encontrarán niños, adolescentes y adultos jugando béisbol en alguna de sus modalidades.

This time, I want to show you a glimpse of this beloved sport, where, instead of stadium stands, we have brick walls, windows, and balconies as our backdrop.

En esta ocasión, quiero mostrarles un poco de este deporte, que, a diferencia de un estadio con gradas, aquí se juega con paredes de ladrillos, ventanas y balcones como telón de fondo.
