Monomad: "Life in Casalta 2: A Community with Unique Charm" ENG / ESP

Hello!
Today I want to talk to you about the place where I live. Its name is Casalta 2, and it is located in the western part of Caracas, the capital city. Casalta 2 is what we call a "super block"—34 independent buildings connected by shared hallways.

The best part of living here is the weather. Casalta 2 is located on a hill, which gives it some elevation and allows us to enjoy cool weather, around 20°C (68°F). While it might not be the coldest, for a tropical country like Venezuela, where most places are much warmer, this is a pleasant exception. On a good day (at least for me), we can even get some fog!

The only downside is that our main view is of La Silsa, a nearby barrio (neighborhood) located just meters away from Casalta 2. In fact, one of the main access roads to La Silsa crosses through our "green areas" or "common spaces." This means we cannot fully close off our community because doing so would block many residents of La Silsa from accessing their homes.

However, not everything is negative. Over time, we’ve learned to coexist and build good relationships with them. There are many wonderful people in La Silsa—educated professionals and visionaries who, unfortunately, didn’t have the privilege of being born in a different place.
