The type of Swamp Hermit Crab, based on my observations in the environment where I took this photo, its habitat is in the muddy tidal coastal area. The hermit crab initially perched in the swamp mud, then it climbed to land not far from the edge of the swamp. The hermit crab has six legs that make it easy for it to run using a borrowed shell when it is considered in danger.
The hermit crab can live in a shell that is not its own, it is born without a shell, unlike crabs in general that have shells since birth and die with the same shell.
The hermit crab continues to live in the natural nature of maintaining life in a cycle that is interrelated with used shells, the need for shells to protect itself from predators. That is why the hermit crab considers the shell as its home, and forces it to replace the shell as its body grows. The availability of empty shells on the beach is a blessing for it. It continues to live in the activity of natural balance. The shells he had used were carried everywhere, even though he had a limp he would walk while dragging the house to continue his journey.
Respect for the hermit crab's survival style.
