This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.
Sometimes I am surprised by the amount of insects that I can find in the yard of my house due to the large number of plants that are there and this time I want to share with you some pictures of a rather large grasshopper that I found in one of these plants and that luckily let me take several pictures.
A veces me sorprende la cantidad de insectos que puedo encontrar en el patio de mi casa debido a la gran cantidad de plantas que hay allí y en esta oportunidad quiero compartirles algunas fotografías de un saltamontes bastante grande que me encontré en una de estas plantas y que por suerte se dejó hacer varias fotografías.
I have always found it a bit complicated to take this kind of pictures of grasshoppers, because always when you are approaching, even a little bit they are already jumping and it is interesting how fast and how strong they are, because if you try to keep track of their jump it is very difficult, here I took pictures in two scenarios, in one he stayed quite long and in the other he lasted a few minutes until I lost track of him.
Siempre me ha parecido un poco complicado hacer este tipo de fotografías a los saltamontes, porque siempre cuando te estás acercando, aunque sea un poco ya están saltando y es interesante lo rápido y la fuerza que tienen, porque si intentas seguirle el rastro a su salto es muy difícil, aquí hice fotos en dos escenarios, en una se quedó bastante tiempo y en el otro sí duró pocos minutos hasta que le perdí el rastro.
For these photographs I preferred black and white. It seems to me that between the leaves this grasshopper makes a beautiful contrast, because it had a certain light color, so in this way it stands out in the photographs and I feel it was the best way to give it more prominence.
Para estas fotografías las preferí en blanco y negro. Me parece que entre las hojas que estaba este saltamontes hace un contraste precioso, porque tenía cierto color claro, por lo que de esta manera resalta bastante en las fotografías y siento que era lo más acertado para darle más protagonismo.

I often find this locust in my yard as well, but I always fail to shoot it, you managed to capture some good pictures from the back of this giant today.
Certainly they tend to be very elusive and when you try to get close they leave very quickly, but I was lucky. Thank you very much my friend!
