My children are in a bomb shelter (basement). The war in Ukraine | Monomad challenge

On February 24, our lives changed. I am in Ukraine, and there is a war in my country. In this short time, my children learned how the explosions sound, what kind of storage we have (basement in the house) and what is happening in general. We were in the vault several times, where I once took these photos. Unfortunately, we go to the shelter for a long time, so the vast majority of the time when the alarm is sounded, we hide in a safe place in the apartment (according to the rules of choosing safe places).

One day we ran to the basement at 1 am. Because the air alarm near our area was declared. I had to wake the children who slept so sweetly in their cribs. We picked up blankets, thermoses with tea, prepared in advance, went down to the basement, where some of our neighbors also came. For children, night anxiety and such runs are stressful, so we decided not to run at night in the basement in case of anxiety, although as a storage option, it certainly remains a priority for us. Only remote explosions can be heard in our village now, but the situation is calm and under control. In some cities, the fighting is much worse. The Ukrainian military is defending our peace.

I took all the photos on my smartphone Xiaomi.

Thank you for visiting my post, I wish everyone peace! 🙏
