Awesome shots! At first, I wondered what colors this cool creature could have but then, I realized that I actually saw the same (or very similar) species in Costa Rica so I know haha :)

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it 😁.
Wow, that caterpillar is amazing 😍, what beautiful colors 😃, but although it looks a little my caterpillar, the one I found is white, look:
That's why I thought about posting it in black and white hehehe.
Wow! That´s interesting. But now I understand. I usually put my pictures into monochrome only when they are grey or dull. I don´t like when people use monochrome for vibrant colorful photos :)
Hahaha, that's right 🤭, well, not always dull or grey, because this caterpillar isn't, but nostalgic, sad and introspective photos yes, you know, there are really good photographers who are masters of black and white and even the colored images look great on their hands but I'm just a begginer and I think that colors are so beautiful that deserve to be shown as they are 🌈. Do you know which photos I really like into black and white format? Portraits, when they are taken by good photographers of course hahaha 😉, like @jlinaresp 👌🏻, he's truly a master of monochrome 😉.
This caterpillar looks good this way because it's already black and white 🤭🤭🤭
Yeah, many people think that putting any picture into monochrome immediately makes it a piece of art but it doesn´t work like this. Making impressive b&w photos takes talent, just like any other photography category. And yes, @jlinaresp is a master of this category ;) I agree that in most cases though, colors naturally occurring in nature should be shown in their full splendor.
"A master of monochrome"... Awwwww, @gatubela and @phortun friends... You make me blush! hahaha :))... But thank you very much for this kind comment and mention!!!!... But yes, I like the most to take my photos in B&W, I find that they tend to transmit a ‘more psychological’ message... I've had to live in a decaying small town, so that influences a lot my choices when it comes to processing... Regarding B&W editing, there is a lot of advice everywhere, but may be the best thing to do is to take the photos until you ‘feel that everything is right in it’... Some photos need more light, others less, the same goes for contrast, vignettes and all the things that are used for B&W.... Curiously, I find it much more difficult to edit for B&W than for colour... But I don't know, maybe it's just ‘my own tricks’... hehehe :)).... Thanks again for this good time dear friends!!!... ;)

You absolutely deserve this mention @jlinaresp, you are the best black and white photographer here in Hive 🏆🤍🖤📸, and my favorite 😁. I think that more than all those technical specifications, and "your tricks" hahaha, what counts is having that introspective vision that makes you see and capture the essence of each naked image, when the colors lose all their influence on the subject, the landscape or whatever is in front of you at that moment. Ensure that when others see the photo, they aren't interested in knowing what colors were present there because the photo speaks to them from a different perspective than color. That's art 👌🏻 and you make art 👏🏻.
You're welcome 😺🤗

Absolutely, it doesn't work like that, I wish it were that easy hahaha 🥴. A lot of talent and a special vision to see the things around us in a more introspective way 🤍🖤.
I love colors, specially nature's colors 🌈🌻🌳🍄🌺🌊🍂🌾🐦🦚🦊🐯🐠🦜🐛🦋.
