Greetings to all the members of this black and white photography loving community, today I bring you some photos I took during the pandemic, when we could not go out in the street, and we spent all our time at home, trying to reinvent our lives so as not to fall into despair.
These days I am going through and cleaning old files on my computer, and I found several folders that I made in the COVID-19 days. At that time, photography helped me to alleviate all those moments where we spent days locked up, unable to go out. I took advantage of every minute I could, to practice with the camera, new ideas, accessory concepts.
In this case I had the helios 44-4 lens on my canon 5D mark IV, practicing manual focus and looking for that magic blur that this particular lens has. I saw that my wife was reading in bed, and next to her, one of our cats, and a warm evening light was coming in through the window. All these elements gave me a pleasant atmosphere, which I wanted to capture in each photo.
Even after some time has passed since those photos were taken, already forgotten together with the memories of the pandemic, I see them and I am satisfied with the result, they still transmit me that peace and that feeling of tranquility that I was looking for at the time of taking them. I hope you also like it and see you in a future post.

Saludos a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad amante de la fotografía en blanco y negro, hoy les traigo unas fotos que hice en la pandemia, cuando no podíamos salir a la calle, y pasábamos todo el tiempo en casa, tratando de reinventarnos la vida para no caer en la desesperación.
En estos días estoy haciendo revisión y limpieza de archivos viejos en mi computadora, y me encontré varias carpetas que hice en los tiempos de la COVID-19. En esa época, la fotografía me ayudó a aliviar todo esos momentos donde pasábamos días encerrados, sin poder salir. Aprovechaba cada minuto que pudiera, para practicar con la cámara, nuevas ideas, conceptos accesorios.
En este caso tenía el lente helios 44-4 en mi canon 5D mark IV, practicando el enfoque manual y buscando ese desenfoque mágico que tiene este lente en particular. Vi que en la cama estaba mi mujer leyendo, y al lado, una de nuestras gatas, por la ventana entraba una luz cálida de atardecer. Todos esos elementos me brindaban un ambiente placentero, que quise plasmar en cada foto.
Aún al pasar ya tiempo de esas fotos, ya olvidadas junto a los recuerdos de la pandemia, las veo y me satisface el resultado, me transmiten aún esa paz y esa sensación de tranquilidad que buscaba en el momento de hacerlas. Espero que también les guste y nos vemos en un próximo post.
