Greetings dear friends of the black and white community, I hope everyone is very well.
The Edificio Girón, inaugurated in the late 1960s, stands as a giant on the Malecón of Havana. Designed to address the island's housing problems, it never fully fulfilled its promise, yet it still stands. Worn down by time and neglect, it bears scars that do not go unnoticed by the lenses of curious cameras.
Innovative in its time, it promised to solve Cuba’s housing problems with its 132 apartments. However, its design, in my opinion, is not very attractive, making it stand out on the Malecón as an imperturbable giant over the years.

Today, its reality is very different from what it was nearly 60 years ago. Rusted rebars protrude like broken bones, its only elevator suffers constant breakdowns, and power outages are frequent. For many, those 17 floors have become a prison, as climbing up and down the stairs—deteriorated by salt and sea air—is an almost impossible task.

As if that weren’t enough, majestic hotels built by the Cuban government now rise beside it, further accentuating the stark contrast of Cuba’s current reality.

I hope you enjoy the photos. I’ll be reading your comments.

Gracias amigo. Abrazos
I found your first paragraph here.
The best approach is to always write your own text, but if you really need to use info from the net please make sure to source every text that it's not yours, or someone might report you for plagiarism.
It would be a shame to have your account compromised like that, wouldn't it?. 🙂Hello @rg2-foto and thank you very much for your monomad entry.
Of course I understand. In fact, I got the technical data from a local newspaper, it was my mistake. Maybe I can give it another approach and not mention those details. I will correct it immediately. Thanks.
Greetings @monochromes, I corrected the first paragraph, your considerations are very valuable. Thanks
