Today, probably, I will make the post that gives me the most happiness. It's not a great series of photos, but I'll explain why.
I recently acquired, at a really low price, a lens that I had been looking for years: the Nikon 105mm f/2.5 Pre-AI. It's a lens from the 1950s that, for a long time, was considered the holy grail of portraiture. Despite the decades that have passed since its manufacture, I must say that its optics are spectacular. Nikon got the glass recipe completely right, achieving a result that feels almost idyllic. For further reference, this was the lens Steve McCurry used to capture his iconic photograph "The Afghan Girl".
After a good cleaning, adjusting the mechanisms with lubricant and adapting the F-mount ring so I can use it on my Nikon DSLR, I have the first results. It's a small series of photos stolen from my dear neighbors, who are always very cooperative when they see me with the camera in my hand.
Without more to say, except that I have a new love, here are the first results. Still to be perfected, but already great in my opinion.

Hoy, probablemente, haga el post que más felicidad me da. No es una gran serie de fotos, pero ya les explico por qué.
Recientemente adquirÃ, a un precio realmente bajo, un lente que llevaba años buscando: el Nikon 105mm f/2.5 Pre-AI. Es un lente de los años 50 que, durante mucho tiempo, fue considerado el santo grial del retrato. A pesar de las décadas transcurridas desde su fabricación, debo decir que su óptica es espectacular. Nikon acertó completamente en la receta de cristales, logrando un resultado que se siente casi idÃlico. Para más referencia, este fue el lente que Steve McCurry usó para capturar su icónica fotografÃa "La niña afgana".
Después de una buena limpieza, ajustar los mecanismos con lubricante y adaptar el anillo de la montura F para poder usarlo en mi DSLR Nikon, ya tengo los primeros resultados. Es una pequeña serie de fotos robadas a mis queridos vecinos, quienes siempre son muy cooperativos cuando me ven con la cámara en la mano.
Sin más que decir, salvo que tengo un nuevo amor, aquà les dejo los primeros resultados. Aún por perfeccionar, pero ya geniales a mi parecer.
