A beautiful collaboration. Monomad

I've not been shooting much, mainly because I'm waaaaaay behind on editing and not getting much time to clear though it...

But when Jadey dropped my a message if I had a couple of hours free for a little collaboration shoot close to home, and with a Make-up artist, I just couldn't say no...

I'm glad i didn't..

It's not often I shoot beauty, so this was a welcome distraction for me and a chance to do something from the norm.. As well as work with Jade and Renata on make up... Renata did the make-up on a previous shoot...

As you can see, Renata's work is exceptional. So I was really excited to be teaming up again..

We shot a number of sets, mainly using just 1 300watt strobe in a big beauty dish, sometimes gridded sometimes not... Sometimes I used the rice bowl modifier, but in the main I used the beauty dish...

The beauty dish gives some real nice light, but the power of a good make-up artist really makes a difference as well... These images have hardly been edited in post... Apart from taking the odd blemish out, the make-up has really produced a fantastic look....

I'm tempted to never shoot another shoot without a MUA lol, it makes the post production that much easier!!
