One of the finds of the year was Amy...
I sometimes like to take a 'gamble' on newish models... When I say gamble, i mean educated chance... I really dont like working with diva's or idiots.. So I always do a bit of homework on prospective models... without soundling like im a real knobhead, I need to know are they worth my time... its scarce at the minute (hence I've not posted much on here lately)
Luckily Amy is worth every second..
Shot at my own little shooty space, We had a couple of hours just playing about and for me to get a shoot under my belt after a bit of time away.

I dont do much beauty photography, its something thats bugging me, so I'm aiming to do a bit more of it. Amy's got great skin so I thought there was no time like the present, got out the triflector and went for it...
An enjoyable afternoon was had by all.

Nicely processed there. I got put off shooting models after being hounded to shoot a "mature" model who is the same age as me. I wasn't keen as she looks like she's snorted most of Columbia... Must get back to it, shooting models, not snorting...
mate... im just really choosey... while looks are important, attitude is imperitive... no drama, no dickheads no fucking lunatics...
really dont want to deal with arseholes in my own time..

yep... same here... not that fussed... although.. put in the right shoot shes good... Jodie did a fantasic shoot with her... but she doesnt know the difference between a good image and a bad one..
mature women shooting glamour on a motorbike in a studio just does not float my boat... I'm not sure where I would fit her into any of my styles..
Yup, I reckon Jodie could make even me look good!

I do think that a models attitude and willingness to learn plays a huge part in the experience.. I've worked with Amy 4 times this year, in a year that I've not shot much... each time she's put into practise stuff that we've learned from previous shoots.. that is stuff I like to see...
There's models that model just to get paid.. (and I'm not afraid to open the wallet) and theres model that do it for the arts, and then theres model that just wanna be in front of a camera and dont care about what the images are like, just as long as they are the centre of attention..
Give me the one that works for the art anyday!! I've been blessed to work with some belters over the last few years
