This is my entry for the #monomad challenge curated by @monochromes today.
Two days ago I went around the cocoa plantation and there I looked for mushrooms because usually after the rain there would be mushrooms growing, and that time I was not in vain because I saw a very beautiful and unique mushroom known as Schizophyllum commune which thrives on a dead cocoa tree.
This mushroom has a fan-like shape and has a soft texture and usually this fungus will grow on rotten wood, and when I saw it I immediately approached it and took some angle pictures of this Schizophyllum commune mushroom and it looks really stunning and unique.
Schizophyllum commune is a species of fungus in the genus Schizophyllum. The mushroom resembles undulating waves of tightly packed corals or loose Chinese fan. "Gillies" or "split gills" vary from creamy yellow to pale white in colour.Wikipedia
And you can see below are some portraits of this Schizophyllum commune mushroom that I took two days ago and I hope you like it and can enjoy it.
