A Man Cave Revealed- Monomad Challenge

in Black And White2 years ago

Hail to the Hive!

I have recently started working nights at a place I worked at briefly before heading off to Jamaica and Egypt and have rekindled friendships made during that time. One of the people I got on really well with has resumed the burden of driving me to work , and driving is a passion of his. He loves his cars and also bikes as it happens.

I knew from chatting to Graeme previously that he had a vintage TVR sports car that he had restored. It is quite a beauty and he did give me a spin in it last time I was here.

What I was unaware of was his love of bicycles and their restoration of which came up in a recent conversation.

He was explaining how he wants to add an electric motor to his recent acquisition, an old Schwinn chopper style bicycle, and I mentioned that @diveratt had motorized @millycf1976’s schwin tricycle in the Philippines and might be worth chatting to.

The conversation also prompted him to show me his chopper ( oooh errr) and in doing so reveal his man cave.Impressed I was, what with the vintage sports car and wall mounted bikes and all, who wouldn’t be?

As soon as the doo was open I quickly asked if it was ok to take a few pictures as it was the coolest shit. I do love it when people have a passionnfor their thing and take it that step further and manifest it into a real place to work on and celebrate their love of all things mechanical.

The seed has also been planted about installing an electric motor into it and after a recent beer session I wouldn’t be surprised to see this project take on some life and generate a post to show off the creation.

That’s for later though. But it was nice for Graeme to show off his impressive Man Cave. I’m sure a few readers will be jealous of this contents of this humble little garage, I know I was.

But I will be curious to see the Schwinn chopper get an electric boost soon and I want a go on it too.

It’s a fun project for sure!

Love a bit of #monomad 😜

He has good taste. I love both the car and chopper, equally 😍

Love these photos. Everyone a banger!

literally, although I don't think Graeme would appreciate his car being called a banger ...chortle 🤣

Absolutely! And not the stuff alone, but the energy and light that's captured. (See my other reply.) !invest_vote

Sooooo impressive! And not the facts and cave alone, but the beauty of your photography. Those shots look almost like pencil drawings. And I may not even dare to ask what filter you used to emphasize the impression. But a little curious I certainly am! !invest_vote
