Hail to the Hive!
Getting wet isn't something scuba divers are scared of but that doesn't mean to say we enjoy these miserable grey rainy days. The 2 divers we did have cancelled as the run off from the shore had destroyed the visibility in the water so not much point in taking a dip to see very little.
So we spend the day in trying to keep out of the rain in what little is left of the dive shop. There's not much left and few places to take cover.
It has also meant that very little work on clearing up the rubble is happening as it constant torrential rain. What was once a stunning view over the Tanon Strait of the Island of Negros is now a soggy landscape of broken buildings and smashed concrete.
The ghost town streets are even more deserted than usual and the town exudes a melancholy wet vibe.
Sadly the weather forecast is more misery as this looks like it will be here for a few more days yet. Utterly depressing. I think I need some cheesecake to go with my coffee to cheer me up. Yes that sounds like an amazing plan 😃.
