Hometown love in every corner - Post harvesting days @quaint village.

I returned to my village after a gap of 15 days. Last time I was around, I saw most of farmers were busy with their harvesting and paddy seperation. The use of machine, as well as labour were involved with so many tasks. Now returning back the scene of the village is like filled with haystack. Look around and you will find so many haystack filling up all around.

A "haystack" in the context of farming is a pile of dried hay used to feed animals, so typically you would feed it to livestock like, cows, or goats. But at the same time it needs to safe guard from start animals too. This time around, we have abundant farming so noone is felling short of haystack. The condition is such that there are no buyer ton pick them up. While many keep them on a makeshift platform, like the above image, at many places they were scattered in the fields.

After thr paddy seperstion, they were supposed to be stored at-home. Those who have cattles made theor arenagement, but those who does not Jace any alternative used to sell them other buyer. But this time around there are no takers of these hays, as everyone have their own share due to good farming. Now these hays are pulled up in the fields, and farmers were worrying about spoilage. So they are taking care of them by curing them and trying to dry the moisture within. It is such a laburous task.

While these are a headache for some, it remain a playground for the kids. One can find kids playing around in the fields and soaking in Sun. Winter harvesting allows a lot of fun. I remember, my Dad used to enjoy this ambience during winter and used to take lunch in the fields. A typical village life. Bit now things have changed but not for the kids who still fund their happy playground among these hays. As I was wondering, around my village, I found this little champ hiding in one such hays bundle. It was a sheer joy for the kids.

An early morning fun for these kids who was running from his mother and trying to hide amongst the hays. We used to make small hut with these hays in our childhood. Children can play with hay bales in a variety of ways. I felt nostalgic finding the joy in the kids face.
This is also the time to have some fresh veggies in the village. Many have their own garden to grow some fresh vegetable. I went to my field looking for some cauliflower and find them growing still too young to eat.

Village life is often characterized by simplicity and richness in the basics. Although the charm of old classical these were missing, yet there are certain aspects of lifestyle that gives a good vintage vibes tonthe place. I alwsys felt connected to my village. Next few days going to be exciting living in this place.

What could be a better way to feel the classic life than snapping it closely in "Black & White". This is my entry to #monomad challenge

Peace!!
