Carrying the light of love and celebration #monomad

I hope you all are doing great and enjoying quality time with your loved ones.

At my friend's wedding, we celebrated the Jaago ceremony, and it was such a lively experience! We had a great time reciting boliyaan (traditional Punjabi folk verses) and dancing through the streets. Jaago is an event that happens before the wedding.The word "Jaago" means "wake up," and the celebration is all about waking up the neighborhood to announce that a wedding is happening.

समुदाय के प्यारे सदस्यों को नमस्कार। मुझे आशा है कि आप सभी अच्छा कर रहे होंगे और अपने प्रियजनों के साथ गुणवत्तापूर्ण समय का आनंद ले रहे होंगे। मेरे दोस्त की शादी में, हमने जागो समारोह मनाया, और यह बहुत जीवंत अनुभव था! हमने बोलियां (पारंपरिक पंजाबी लोक छंद) सुनाने और सड़कों पर नृत्य करने में बहुत अच्छा समय बिताया। जागो एक कार्यक्रम है जो शादी से पहले होता है। "जागो" शब्द का अर्थ है "जागो", और यह उत्सव पड़ोस को जगाने और यह घोषणा करने के बारे में है कि शादी हो रही है।

In this tradition, the bride aunts, carry pots on their heads, decorated with lights and colorful ornaments. They go around the neighborhood singing traditional songs loudly, encouraging everyone to join the celebration. Sometimes, they also bang sticks or pots to make noise.

इस परंपरा में दुल्हन की मौसियां अपने सिर पर रोशनी और रंग-बिरंगे गहनों से सजा हुआ बर्तन लेकर चलती हैं। वे आस-पड़ोस में घूम-घूमकर जोर-जोर से पारंपरिक गीत गाते हैं और सभी को उत्सव में शामिल होने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करते हैं। कभी-कभी वे शोर मचाने के लिए लाठी या बर्तन भी बजाते हैं।

It's a way of sharing the joy with the community and building excitement for the wedding day.
