Hello there, B&W addicts!
I'm new here on HIVE, and so only after writing my first introduction post on a different community, did I find out about this gem of a place. So, I've decided, instead of copy-pasting it, to share with you a PROJECT that I've posted on my website not too long ago.

The "HOLGA STRIPS" project was shot with a cheap plastic HOLGA panoramic film camera I ordered from B&H for something like 90$.
It's very simple, very limited - and very unreliable, which is great if you like surprises. It has its own unique vintage look, with its soft and small focus area, that fades out to the sides and creates a nice dreamy feel.
Together with it's panoramic 6x12 frames, Holga's limitations (f8/11 and only 1/125) were exactly what I wanted as my 2nd camera. Something lightweight and dumb-like to take a quiet, laid back break with - from all the constant precise-framing and light-metering busyness.
The Holga takes 120 film, and its terrible, almost non-existent proofing on the back cover (which is why you should definitely gaffer tape the heck out of it) sometimes results in light leaks - which, even though I tried everything to get rid of them, looking back at the pictures, I feel they make a nice final touch to the frames.
