A lovely expression from a boy, his eyes bright with promise.
These are pictures of farmers in Indrapuri, Aceh Besar's rice fields. A middle-aged guy sat cross-legged and stretches his palms towards the sky to pray while an elderly woman wearing a mukena prays alone on a prayer mat. In front of them are farming equipment, a hat to keep the sun off of them, and a rice container.
Look at the blur on the right side of the image; a middle-aged woman is working on krui pade, a manual technique that uses areca nut leaves as a sprinkling and natural breeze to separate the rice seeds that retain the rice.
