Today, January 10th, the country where I live, Venezuela, is experiencing a tense calm due to the political events that have been happening since the presidential elections last year, but I am not really here to talk about that, but I mention it because of what is perceived on this day, where my wife told me not to go out to take pictures because there were perhaps many police and military and it could be a problem, but even so I went out for a while to take some pictures, always being careful of my surroundings.
I went out to the street and everything is practically deserted, there are almost no open shops and I saw very few police on the street, perhaps they are more concentrated in strategic points of the city, but even so I only cared to capture some images that I am showing in this publication, it is a bit of those elements of nature or superpositions of things to create certain photos. Also as always taking advantage of the sun in my favor either to generate more contrast or capture shadows.
I don't think anything will happen now, or at least I hope so. We have the same president again for one more term and we'll have to wait and see what the economic and political events will be like in the coming years, where many hope for a change that will be positive for everyone.
All photographs are my own.
