My Favorite Country So Far - MONOMAD

in Black And White2 days ago

Hello and welcome back to all black and white photography lovers here on Hive. Today I will talk about my favorite country I've visited so far. Honestly, it's not easy to choose which one is your favorite, since everyone has something good and something not so good on the list. However, after some thinking, my heart goes to Thailand. Thailand is one country that has stayed in my memory the most.

Its cultural richness, welcoming spirit, vibrant nightlife, breathtaking scenery, and tantalizing food combine to create a destination like no other. Thailand is a place where every corner offers a new experience, whether through tastes, sights, or encounters with locals. From flavorful street dishes to bustling night markets, Thailand always surprises and delights.

One of the greatest highlights of Thailand is its food. Thai cuisine is known for its harmonious blend of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy flavors. Trying dishes like Pad Thai, Tom Yum Goong (spicy shrimp soup), and Som Tum (papaya salad) opens up a world of unique tastes. Street food vendors line the roads with skewers of satay, deep-fried spring rolls, and crispy pork belly, offering affordable, mouthwatering meals on every corner. For me, Thailand's food is not just about flavor; it's an adventure of discovery, where each bite introduces something new and exciting.

FOOD is amazing here in Thailand! However, black and white is causing injustice, due to all the vibrancy of Thai dishes.

Fresh and local is always a sign of delicious food.

Thailand’s nightlife is vibrant and varied, with experiences to suit every traveler’s preference. Bangkok is famous for its bustling night markets, rooftop bars, and clubs that stay open into the early morning. Khao San Road is a well-known hotspot, where the energy is infectious, and the street is alive with food stalls, music, and dancing. For a beach party atmosphere, the Full Moon Party on Koh Phangan is world-renowned, drawing thousands of people each month for music and dancing under the stars. With its dynamic and lively atmosphere, Thailand’s nightlife makes it a country that never seems to sleep.

The beach bar is my to-go!

Thailand’s natural beauty is awe-inspiring, with diverse landscapes that range from turquoise waters and white-sand beaches to lush jungles and misty mountains. The islands are iconic for their crystal-clear waters and colorful coral reefs, perfect for snorkeling and diving. For a different experience, northern Thailand offers mountainous terrain, where cities like Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai provide beautiful temples, hiking trails, and views of rice terraces. Whether it’s a bustling cityscape in Bangkok, a serene temple, or a peaceful beach, the variety of scenery is truly breathtaking.

... or hiking, it doesn't matter. The scenery here is outstanding.

Probably I could list many more reasons, but I will add only one and most important. People! The warmth and friendliness of the Thai people make visiting the country even more enjoyable. Known for their "Land of Smiles" moniker, Thai locals are often eager to help tourists, making it easy to feel welcome. Language barriers are bridged with gestures and smiles, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, Thai people take pride in sharing their culture, so I often found locals happy to teach about traditions, suggest places to visit, or even give a quick lesson on basic Thai phrases.
