It‘s been a long time…Some of my favorite B&W pictures (Monomad)

in Black And White3 years ago (edited)

Hello everybody!
After quite a long time I want to share some pictures with you…

But let‘s start a bit earlier:
In July 2021 I finally got my long-awaited Camera (Sony a7 RIII).
Since then I took quite a lot of pictures and through out the year I learned more and more…so today I want to share some of my best Black and White pictures with you all!

Starting with that one…which is by the way one of my favorites even though it was one of my first.
This photo was taken on the Beach of Sylt (Westerland) during my Summer vacation.
In my opinion B&W just brings this image to a next level…
Another side note: I already printed this one out and put it on my wall ;)

Going on with the next picture: This was also taken during the Summer vacation at Sylt.
At first I didn’t like this picture at all. But when I tried Black and White on it I really started loving it.
Due to the Contrast between the dark ocean and the bright feathers of the swallows they really pop out.

Moving on to the next picture: This is another example where Black and White just works out.
The picture shows a scene that’s quite typical for Sylt and the area around the Baltic Sea and the North Sea…and that’s why I like it.

That’s another example where Black and White just improves the image. In color the sky wouldn’t have looked as “dramatic”.

And finally some shadows in the forest which always look great in Black and White…

Well, thanks for reading, I hope you liked my pictures and see you soon.
And I’d love to hear which is your favorite picture.
