Good afternoon, #Monomad friends
Where do we look?
Whenever I get the chance to visit Lisbon, I take the opportunity to photograph the squares and the people. I've always been fascinated by photography ever since I was a child. I remember a large-format photo that my grandmother had in her living room, in which I appeared, in a square very close to this one, pouring corn for the pigeons.
At that time, I think around 1980, it wasn't completely forbidden to feed street animals... And that photo, that moment that my father managed to capture, was eternalised there, in two dimensions, but it always made me think about how I'd grown up since then...
That's one of the reasons why I like to photograph casual moments, ideally in the street...
In my first photo I really like the child, with his parents flanking him, looking up at the sky stretching out above... It's magical!
An old man, on the other hand, is looking down at the steps he's taking... fear of tripping, or thoughts, or routines, prevent him from looking any further.
Youth groups are always an excellent subject to photograph. In good weather, it's very interesting to observe their behaviour. The way they interact with each other.
Do you like to photograph in the street too?
I hope you enjoyed my post here in the B&W community
