| Hello, friends! Recently, I visited Lviv — on the advice of my dentist, I needed to get a CT scan of my jaws. As I was walking down the street toward the address I needed, I suddenly decided to start photographing various shop entrances or small windows where street food was sold (although, in one case, it was the window of an optician's shop where glasses are fitted for vision problems, and in another, a rather gloomy entrance to a courtyard with a barely noticeable sign leading to a shop that sold clothing made from linen). It was fascinating to compare these signs and the entrances themselves because they were located in buildings of different styles and ages. Some were in very old buildings, while others were in more modern ones. Sometimes the building and its façade were over 100 years old, but the window or door was brand new. I think this is wrong, but if the building isn't a historical monument, it's not illegal. However, in some cases, shop owners violate regulations and then have to remove elements that don’t match the overall aesthetic by court order. It was an interesting way to notice the blend of old and new in the city's architecture and how businesses adapt spaces to their needs. While not always harmonious, it’s part of the urban landscape of Lviv. | Привіт, друзі! Нещодавно я бував у Львові - за вказівкою мого стоматолога мені потрібно було зробити комп'ютерну томографію моїх щелеп. Я просто ішов по вулиці до потрібної мені адреси і раптом вирішив почати фотографувати різні входи до різних магазинів чи просто віконечок , де продавали вуличну їжу (хоча в одному випадку це було вікно оптики - магазину, де вам підбирають окуляри у випадку проблем із зором, а в іншому доволі похмурий вхід у внутрішній дворик із малопомітної вивіскою, що вела до магазину де можна було купити одяг, вироблений із льону). Цікаво було порівнювати ці вивіски і самі входи до крамничок, бо розташовані вони були у різних будівлях. Якісь у дуже старих, інші - у більш сучасних. Іноді сам будинок і фасад були дуже старими, не менше 100 років, а вікно чи двері новими. Це неправильно, я вважаю, але коли це не пам'ятка архітектури, це навіть не є незаконним, хоча іноді власники магазинів порушують закон, а потім мусять демонтувати невідповідні загальній естетиці конструкції за рішенням суду. |
