Power of words

Proverbs 18: 21
Esau began to cry out loud, saying, "Father, can't you give me the blessing that belongs to the firstborn son?"
Isaac's response was both insightful and powerful: “No, the words are already out, and I can't take them back. I said that Jacob would be blessed, and he will always be blessed.

Can you see the power of our words? Do you see the power to declare blessings on your children? Isaac said, "Once words have come out, I can't take them back." He gave one less blessing to Esau, but it was not as significant as the one he had given to Jacob.

We have to be extremely careful what we allow out of our mouths. The next time you are tempted to speak ill of someone, put your child down, or put him down, remember, you can never take those words back. Once we speak them, they take on a life of their own.

Use your words to bless people. Stop criticizing your child and start declaring that you have great things in your future.

We should never speak negative or destructive words to anyone, especially to people over whom we exercise authority or influence. Just because you run your own business or supervise a large number of employees, that doesn't give you the right to badmouth them and make them feel bad about themselves. Unlike! God will hold you accountable for what you say to those individuals under His authority, and He will judge you with stricter criteria. You should strive to speak positive words that are edifying and encouraging.
