Living by faith, confidence in the unseen.
Faith is one of the most powerful forces in a believer's life.
It is the foundation of our relationship with God and the key to unlocking His promises.
Hebrews 11 verse 1 states, Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
This verse defines faith as both confidence and assurance, not in what is visible but in what is unseen. As believers, we are called to live by faith, trusting in God's promises even when we cannot see the full picture.
Faith is confidence in what we hope for. Faith is not merely wishful thinking, it is confidence in God's promises. This means that even when circumstances seem uncertain, we can stand firm because we know that God's word is true. Biblical faith is based on trusting God's character.
Consider Abraham the father of faith. God promised him that he would become the father of many nations, yet for years he remained childless. Despite this, Romans 4
He did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised.
Like Abraham, we are called to have confidence in God's word, even when our circumstances seem to contradict His promises. Faith is assurance about what we do not see. Faith is not based on what is seen but on what is unseen.
It is the ability to trust in God's reality even when it is invisible to the eye. Faith is confidence in what we do not see. Faith is not based on what we do not see. Faith is the ability to trust in God's word. Faith is the ability to trust in God's
This kind of faith requires spiritual vision. Think about Noah. God told him to build an ark because a flood was coming. At the time, there was no visible sign of rain, yet Noah obeyed because he had assurance in what he could not see. His faith in God's word saved his family and preserved humanity.
Genesis 6-9. Faith is believing in the supernatural power of God, even when the
natural world gives us no evidence.
This is why in the second book of Corinthians chapter 5, verse 7 says, For we live by faith, not by sight, walking by faith every day.
Faith is not just a belief, it requires action. The heroes of faith in Hebrews 11 did not just believe, they acted on their faith. Moses left Egypt, trusting in God's promise. Joshua and the Israelites marched around Jericho, believing God would bring the walls down.
David faced Goliath, knowing that God was with him. Faith is more than agreeing with God's promises, it is stepping out in obedience, even when we do not see immediate results.
Faith grows when we immerse ourselves in God's word Romans 10 verse 17 and when we walk in obedience. When trials come, instead of doubting, we should remember that faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance in what we do not see.
Are you trusting God in every area of your life? Do you have faith that He is working even when you cannot see it? Let us choose to live by faith, knowing that God is always faithful.
Stay Blessed.
