Hello Believers, how are you all doing today?
Listen, if you are like me and you just need a little peace in your life, I want you to hear this.
For most of my life, I believed that peace was like this escape that you could get to like on a beach. That's my happy place. Comment your happy place in the comments.
I love the beach. I always wanted to go to a quiet place. The absence of struggles, the absence of chaos, the absence of all these loud voices, that bank account, all of that.
I wanted to get away from that and I felt like then I would have peace. But the cool thing about anything that comes from God and the fruit of the spirit is it happens in spite of circumstance, joy, in spite of sorrow, peace, in spite of chaos, love, in spite of hatred.
It is something that endures because he is love and it's a character of his nature. So if it endures in spite of circumstance because God's love is unconditional, so is his fruit.
So if you have the peace of the spirit, it's not about what happens around you or to you. It's about what lives and who lives in you.
If you have the fruit of the spirit living on the inside of you, peace is not the absence of chaos. Rather, it is the peace of God in spite of what your circumstance looks like.
So I only need peace when things are chaotic. I don't need peace if there's nothing happening to disturb it.
We gotta stop searching for peace in weed. We gotta stop searching for peace in relationships. We gotta stop searching for peace in shopping and going and filling your cart up online on Shein.
I know I have done it. Listen, we gotta stop searching for peace in food. We have to stop searching for peace. We gotta stop searching for peace in places and in people and in materialistic things because those things will pass away.
Those things are not permanent. But God's love and who he is will stand the test of time because he is the beginning and the end.
