Do not mistake God's silence for permission to manipulate.
Do you trust his silence?
Do you trust that even when he's quiet, he still loves you?
Because for some of you, the silent treatment in relationships has made you feel like they didn't love you anymore.
And so now whenever God is silent, you feel like you did something wrong or you feel like they're giving you the silent treatment because you've received toxic love from other people, which is not real love because God is love.
For some of you, silence makes you feel anxious. Now you feel like you need to do something to prove that you love God or you need to do something to prove that you're lovable.
What about this trauma and PTSD. Sometimes it's just a test.
Will you still hear the word of what I promised you?
What I say and my word echo in your ears. Even if I'm not speaking something new. But I'm refreshing the old over and over in your mind. I come for you to remind you that my word is my bond.
That my word is truth. That I am not a man. That I am God. And when I say it, my words will not return unto me empty-handed.
But they will accomplish that which I've set them out to do. I am a God that if I begin a good work, I am faithful to perform it. I will not forfeit it. If I spit it out my mouth, that means I've already decided that I'm going to do it.
