Have you ever wondered why sometimes it feels like God promises is taking forever to manifest?
So last night, the Lord said, tomorrow, study the Davidic covenant..And I was like, the Davidic covenant?
So in 2 Samuel chapter 7 says this.
God basically made this covenant, this promise to David that anybody from his lineage would.
So like his kings will come from his lineage in Israel for the rest of whatever. David's like, wow, like who am I to deserve this?
He goes to pray to God. And he says something that, because if you're like me, I'm sitting here like, God, okay, you gave me these promises, but why does it feel like you're just playing with me?
Basically, I'm like, God, why not just wait until it's actually about to happen and tell me it's going to happen instead of me having to wait this long for it to happen ? Why not just tell me closer to the time it's going to come to me?
David says to God, I know you told me that you promised me this because you wanted to. I'm like, wait a second.
The Bible says that "God is not a man that he should lie, nor the son of man" that he. You know how you like, don't tell somebody something because you don't know for sure. And then you're like, if once I decide. I'm going to tell him God made it in his mind and he was going to do this.
So once he made it verbally, not only did he say it and establish it so that his work could go forth and not return back to him until it completed what he told him to do, but he established it so that now that he said it, he literally is not able to lie.
He's not, he cannot lie. So once he said it now, he literally has to perform it.
I don't know why that gave me so much peace, but David literally was like, listen, you said it because you knew that you wanted to keep your word.
Somebody needed that.
