Lessons I Learned During My Waiting Season

Hello Believers, happy Sunday to you all.

Three things I have learned or I have helped me in my waiting season.

One, I found out I actually didn't want God more. I wanted the thing more than I wanted God. If whatever I desire, I have not already created a plan on how to honor God and serve God with it, I don't need it yet.

I wanted what I was waiting for more than I wanted God. And it caused me to run away from God because I was mad at God because I felt like he didn't care about me enough to not give me what I wanted when I wanted it.

When really what I needed was him. He was the ultimate answer. And even if he gave me what I wanted, it still could not satisfy. It still could not sustain. It still could not be faithful and as trustworthy as God is and as stable as he is in my life.

If God was to give me the money, the relationship, before I realized this, oh baby, I would be devastated because I wouldn't even know how to handle it without him. Anything that I allow to hinder my full service to God is an idol.

Everything I'm waiting for that God promised me is literally already mine. He is just holding it for me. It is just in his possession. It is just under temporary guardianship with God's supervision. And so when he releases it to me, it does not be.

I'm stewarding over it. Meaning I'm watching over something for somebody else. That marriage, those finances, that situation, that platform, that opportunity, those children. And if he told you you're going to have it, it's already yours. You are just letting him hold it for you.

This third one is just like a tip of advice that's been helping me. If it's like a person that you're waiting for or something that you are desiring, speak to it in faith. And what I mean by that is like if you're waiting for a partner or waiting for a friend, just start praying for them.

Pray that God is helping them. Pray that they have a good day today. Pray for them like they're already in your life. And it just makes you feel like they're already there. It is just like it increases your faith.

It makes it feel more tangible. Also, if it's like a situation or money you're praying for, just decree and declare. Death and life are in the power of your tongue. And the Bible says we have the authority to speak those things that are not.

Speak to that money like it's already in the bank account. Like God has already given it to you because you are praying for it and because he's promised it to you.
