My Encouragement Is In God

If you need some encouragement to continue to wait on God's promises for you, or if you're in a season where you're having a hard time thanking God for the answered prayers you're living in because you're more focused on what you don't have right now.

This time last year, I was in my mother's house crying and saying, God, I know that you promised me. And that one day, like a thousand people were going to be able to see these my posts and it was going to encourage and change people's lives. But right now I only have few followers and I've been making posts.

So many times I was angry at God. I almost gave up, tried it my way. And now almost two years later, I'm literally living in answered prayers.

All I prayed is that God would make me the voice that I wish I heard and that he would change my situation and heal me and give me a job and just all these different things. And now I'm blessed today.

I asked the Lord and I said, well, God, why is it that even though I'm living in this prayer that I prayed and cried tears for for so long, I'm still finding myself being dissatisfied with what I have?

He said, Deborah, because you've glorified what you don't have over who I've been for you and who I am for you. And in that moment, I realized that I made what I didn't have more important to me than who God was for me.

Gratitude is single handedly the most important weapon that we have against any spiritual warfare because it reminds us that things could be always be worse.

But it also reminds us who God has been for us. And when we glorify the source over any other resource that he provides for us, we'll always be satisfied because he is just enough.

So I want to encourage you to keep holding on to God because Matthew 6:33 says, seek ye first the kingdom of heaven and his righteousness.

And all these things will be added unto you. If God is the source, if God is the prize, you'll never be dissatisfied because he'll never leave you or forsake you.
