God gives us a different measure of grace for each of us. And that looks different concerning what you know, what you don't know, where you are, what you're called to, the anointing on your life, the things that you experience.
God takes all of that into consideration because he's just that intentional and mindful of you. And so with that being said, there's a level of grace that we have to receive from God.
We also have to extend that same grace to ourselves as a reflection of his love for us. And the Bible says that you are called to love your neighbor as you love yourself.
How can you truly love your neighbor if you don't even love you?
In the New Testament, Jesus says, love your neighbor as I have loved you.
So in order to really love your neighbor like Christ has loved you, you must first understand and receive and accept the love of God. And part of that comes with receiving his grace because he'll never force you to receive a gift.
He didn't force you to accept him as your savior. He's not going to force you to accept the grace that he has over your life. The grace to make mistakes, the grace to try again, having more grace for yourself when it comes to failure.
It starts with being kinder to yourself. And that's when it's convenient and that's when it's not. That's when you feel like you could have did better, but you didn't.
And even though you don't really want to give yourself grace, you choose to look at yourself in the mirror and say, all right, Victoria, you could have did better on that.
Take an accountability for your actions, but I'm not going to treat myself as if I am what I did.
