A New Project....Off Chain?

This is going to be a very different post....

And because the last time I was speaking like this was way back in 2007.

Here's the context:

This was my first book. I wrote it right smack dab in the middle of my success run with online businesses. I wrote it about a very specific niche that I was a into and had a lot of fun writing it. To date, it's the best selling book about said niche....Because it's pretty much the only published book on the topic lol

My claim to fame right?

Anywho....

I have recently been bitten by the 'bug' and that's the writing bug. And thought it was time to start working on book number 2 in the 'Jongo Journey' lol

But no, it's not going to be a follow up to that Amazon best seller lol

I'm doing something very different :)

As you guys know by now, the priority in my life is...Jesus!

And my spiritual walk has been quite an adventure. I've been writing a lot these past few weeks about passion here, and I thought it was time to commit to a project I have had in my mind for quite some time.

I'm laying it out here, just to put it out there in the universe....Hopefully to keep myself on task.

The idea will be a niche product that I think has been lacking in my walk with Christ....

I'm sure everyone has heard of journals, devotionals, prayer books....These are tools to keep a person of faith engaged with scripture as much as possible. I've seen plenty of these options out there, and they all have a market however I have not seen something that combines it all in one package.

This would be very much a denominational specific product and here's my idea:

12 Month Devotional, that has a focused topic for each month.
Each daily entry would have Scripture, this would be the entire focus of every day but the larger topic of the month would be presented as well.
I am a Seventh Day Adventist, and that means we believe in the Spirit of Prophecy. So I would include SOP quotations that align with the daily entry for deeper understanding and study.
A spot reserved on each page for notes and thoughts about the topic and Scripture presented.
Finally, there would be a place for prayer journal entries each day as well.

A guided devotional journal, with focus on prayer and Spirit of Prophecy....

At least that's my idea :)

Now I know I can take this to a self publishing company and get the project edited, designed and manufactured. However my idea would be for some superior covers (maybe even leather or leathersift) so I would have to do some research on how I would get it published.

But here's the big one....

Planning the content, laying out scripture, devotional content and Spirit of Prophecy quotes would be quite an endeavor....Which means, this project won't see daylight for at least a year! But this is what I'm going to be working on a lot over the next few months.

The entrepreneurial spirit is still in me and I see a niche market that has not yet been catered too....And if I can help spread the Word of God to more people, I think it's a project worth investing my time and energy into.
