I can never pass up a good deal :)
When I stopped by my local Christian bookstore, I saw this bible for cheap and decided to pick it up.
It's my first 'journaling' bible and while I'm not sure how much I'll use it every day, I thought it would be a great addition to my little collection.
And it's been a while since I bought a new bible and did a review, so let's take a look at the KJV Journal The Word bible by Thomas Nelson.
Let's dive in:
ISBN: 978-0-7-180-8948-1
Product Code: 4585 Brown Bonded Leather
Text Size: It does not read on the box, and it's smaller than I would have liked. I'm guessing it's between a 7 and 8 text size.
Measurements: 8" x 6.5" x 1.5"
Smyth-Sewn binding
Printied in China
Overall: I think the size is perfect. It's a little bit bigger than a personal sized bible, which is my favorite size to hold and carry. But the trade off is that the font size is a bit on the small side. I do appreciate the clean text, with no cross references. And the layout is really good. The bonded leather cover is actually a lot nicer than I thought it would be. Overall it's a pretty nice bible, and for the price, it can't be beat!
