The Ministry of Intercession

in The Kingdom9 days ago

"Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us." (Romans 8:34)

Intercession should be a vital part of every believer’s life. Jesus Christ, though exalted in glory, still intercedes for us. As Romans 8:34 declares, He who died and rose again now sits at God’s right hand, continually pleading on our behalf.

Hebrews 7:24-26 further emphasizes His eternal priesthood, stating that He "always lives to make intercession" for those who come to God through Him.

Moreover, the Holy Spirit also intercedes for us. Romans 8:26 says, "The Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." This means even when we don’t know how to pray, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.

Some believers think deep intercession is only for a select few, but Scripture teaches otherwise. While some are specially called as intercessors—prayer warriors who open doors for spiritual breakthroughs—every Christian is a priest unto God (1 Peter 2:9) and should prioritize intercession.

Today, you can pray asking God in the Name of Jesus to grant you strength to pray effectively as a priest of God.

Also having parents who intercedes for their children and unborn children is such a blessing. Prayers goes a long way in helping us in our everyday life and journey.
May we continue to be protected, blessed and beautified in Jesus name, Amen!!
