Today is Good Friday, a day we remember the death of our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross. The pain, the suffering He passed through cannot be compared to none. I remember when we used to watch this movie about Christ while we are still young. We watched how they beat Him, spit on Him, nailed Him to the cross, and gave Him that strong wine, but then, we just watched it as a movie; it didn't have any meaningful meaning to us. But as we grew up, especially when I gave my life to Christ, I felt that pain Jesus went through and how painful it must have been for Him. Even He prayed to the Father, "If it's possible, let this cup pass me," but He later said, "Let your will be done." That means that pain was not easy for Him, but it had to be done for the world to be saved.
Hmmm, 1 John 3:1 says, "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!" For the great love He has for us, He wants all of us to be saved. What a Fatherly love for us to be called children of God! But yet, today, many Christians are still living their lives anyhow, as they like. Jesus didn't come to the world only for Christians. I think it's an opportunity to be a Christian and hear the word of God every time. We should be perfect examples for the world, but instead, many lives don't bring glory to God. I thank God for the salvation of those who have been saved. For those who are not saved yet, I pray they see the light.
Easter is not just a day to eat and drink but to always remember the death of Jesus on the cross and also to share His death with others so they might be saved. May this reflection inspire us to share the love of Christ with others and live lives that honor His sacrifice.
As we reflect on Jesus' sacrifice, we're reminded of the profound love God has for us. May this Good Friday be a time of renewal, gratitude, and deeper devotion to our faith. May we strive to live lives that honor God's love and bring hope to those around us.
