I vividly remember when I was scheduled for surgery on my leg. I hadn't eaten for 24 hours, not because I wasn't hungry, but because I was scared of the operation.
But the day after the surgery, I was begging my mom for just a drop of water. She kept saying, 'The doctors said you shouldn't eat anything.'
I was in the hospital bed, feeling very thirsty. I hadn't drunk water for 24 hours, and it was making me uncomfortable. The doctor had given me an injection to prepare for my surgery, and it was making my mouth feel dry.
I asked my mom for water, but she said no. She told me the doctor said I couldn't have anything to drink. I was frustrated and felt like I really needed something to drink.
My mom looked worried, but I could see she was trying to help me. She was being careful because she wanted me to be okay.
After some time, the doctor said I could have a little tea. When I drank it, it felt so good. It was like a small comfort that made me feel a little better.
That experience helped me understand the story of the rich man and Lazarus better in luke 16:19-31_
When the rich man was asking Lazarus for a dropped of water to quenched his thirty but Lazarus couldn't helped
_Hell will be a terrible place, and whenever I think about that experience, I pray to God to do whatever it takes to help me make heaven. Because after death there will not be mercy anymore and no one will be able to help.
Looking back, I'm just grateful to God and thinking about people in pain. Pain is painful, and no one deserves it. I pray God comforts them everyone in pain.
