I opened my Twitter account with one goal in mind to find an Axie Infinity scholarship. And with finding the scholarship, I did do what others usually do. The copy and paste mechanism. As a newbie in the community, I need to be in line with the trend. Field up all the posts and tweets, retweet.
As expected, such opportunities with many possibilities not to be chosen, I wasn't lucky enough.

I told myself, "Why not live in reality as @axie_journalist?" This question leads me to write and post my first essay on Twitter and PeakD under the AxieBuzz community. That essay entitled "The Axie Infinity: Behind the Screen of the Server" brought me to acquire my very first follower on Twitter, @/jaesaur.
Later on, a follow by his Manager @/AxieSpike. The @/SpikeSquadgg mainly Ate @/GoneSoyoung and /OliveR75298962. They were the first people who believed and few scholarship managers such as @/therealcabrera.eth, @/DarthSithius, @/DaveCTG.
Some influencers and streamers such as Ate @/carmirecede, @/primooplays. The essay paved the way for me to first belong in a community of strangers turned to a family who believed, supports, and cheered in me.

I decided to join @/AxieInfinityRetreat and Chonxies' whole team of Axie giveaways to make a unique way to promote the giveaway on different social networking platforms. The day that leads me to opt to AxieBuzz and become a member of Hive Blockchain-PeakD. At first, I only did post because of the giveaway. I wasn't there to explore at first. I wanted the Axie.
But what draws me to the @AxieBuzz community is their ability to inspire and encourage young minds with talents to cultivate them and turn them into something worth nurturing. When I went home for a 2-week vacation after my junior year in college, I told my roommate I would become a scholar when I went back to Baguio.

In those two weeks, there are a lot of things that happened.
First
I was quarantined because I came from the city, leaving me nothing to do, which led me to explore the Hive Blockchain focusing more. I found out I can merely post essays, articles, and whatnots when I found out about Axie Infinity.
Second
My family entrusted me to care for my older cousin, who is currently pregnant.
Third
I'm finally in my last year taking up Bachelor of Science in Nursing with the goal of Latin Honor, which I would want to make into reality still. I told myself I will no longer become a scholar. My very purpose is to finish Nursing. Top the boards. Study medicine or work abroad. After having funds, I would like to build a home for the aged or build my own orphanage. My soft spot for the underprivileged.

I was recommended by another manager to his friend, who is also a founder of his own guild. I joined discord, and I was already in their private Discord channel.
August 5, 2021
This day, I was already contemplating to play or not and started writing essays- focusing on the PeakD under the @/AxieBuzz community. So did not turn anything down.
I posted a picture of 3 dalandan (Citrus) and 3 rambutans with a description, "The arena battle I am aware of with the background my ongoing article on PeakD on the background."
That time I was asked by my now manager, @/DarthSithius if I already have a team. That day, I was already waiting for my post in the other guild.
Still, I did not take any assurance since Brother Spike told me there are no promises I can get onboarded in the coming days. So did message DS that I have ready 2 offers and am on the waiting list. She had given me a week to notify him whether I got onboarded or not.

A day before enrollment, I already notified DS that I am not onboarded but decided to turn everything down to focus on my studies.
August 14, 2021
Enrollment and messaged brother Spike I'm not going to take any scholarships because I wasn't selfish enough to waste my manager's time and investment. Because of the hectic schedule as an incoming senior university student, which I later regret due to impulsive decision making. Means turning the 3 down.
At this time, I was only accepted as a writer or editor of AxieBuzz as I know it's the oy commitment I can be sure of doing at the moment. Days came, and my regrets flood my mind for losing great opportunities. Then I was followed back by DaveXAxie of CTG. Thought maybe Axie Infinity was really for me.

I received another scholarship offer, and that already taking my ronin to add. It took me a day to decide and consulting managers I know and who supports since the start.
And I was struck still with
@/AxieSpike's "Don't take a risk with opportunities you can't afford to lose."
"Become the impossible" @/Bryce
"In life, you can take shortcuts and cut corners. Sure it will save you time now but remember. Those corners you cut will eventually come back and cut you. " @/DarthSithius.
To The constant cheers and affirmations from friends turned family on Twitter made me accept the offer. And since I don't know the exact reason why I am chosen as part of the XZG family, the only thing I can say is that I got onboarded because of Rambutan. Still, I definitely got more than 7 offers in a month due to becoming an axiejournalist.
Axiejournalist as a writer is far from being a gamer. Though the process can be made possible if we believe and learn. Every day is a process of understanding and grinding of knowing and learning. We are to think that we all can make our own paths. To take opportunities based on your growth and to not take anything for granted.
I am still in the process of learning, and it may take me a while. The gameplay itself is more complex than the anatomy of the human body based on experience. But no ignorance is stagnant unless you worked hard to make a way to understand what the game offers.
The people listed above believed I can make it. I did receive offers with their help and become an individual I never thought of becoming.
