Axie Infinity quite makes a fuss and is one of the ranging money-making platforms for dreamers- especially students at their university level. Axie Infinity, at the beginning of the year, had made a lot of changes and impacts on each and everyone's life. Slowly turning scholars' struggles into something they can at least ease the burden of their parents, especially during this challenging time that the pandemic continues to outnumber the availability of stable jobs for a steady income.
Now that the market has been recognized, some started to abuse the opportunity brought by the game. Some questions, has axie Infinity become impossible for scholars?
Or is it now impossible for the primary teams to climb up the leaderboard as its arena gameplay slowly invaded with ambiguous, never been seen and understood build and meta axies?
Basics of Axie Infinity

Being engaged with Axie, you have to understand first. There are 6 primary classes of axie and another 3 for its privileged classes. All of these classes hold different skills and abilities that may indicate a better outcome of the game.

THE STARTER TEAMS
ABP is commonly known as Aqua, Beast or Bird, and Plant.
Aqua usually are blue to light blue in color. Their most apparent marks are fins, fishhook, tail, and back.
The game transcends into the competitive gaming background in the first half of the year. It is the most used since it is the most simple build.
The priority for these teams is to take all the damage to the first axie or the tank axie as it defends the defender axies situated at the back of the tank axie.
Usually, tank axies are plants because they have higher HP or health power, making their opponent unable to pass through the defense it creates.
Mid and backline axies may either be another defender or an attacker.
SEASON 19 COMPETITIVE GAMEPLAY
As the game progresses, the more competition it requires. Now, a whole new level of strategies and decision-making should take place. Consider more time arranging your cards to produce the desired amount of damage inflicted on your opponent. Positioning them also takes a big part in the success.
If the average build and essential positioning require those with higher HP as the tank, then reconsider swapping their positions; that way, you can withstand and win at least a few strikes in the arena.
As the arena continues to hone high HP per team, it is impossible to penetrate their defense and attack.
WHAT ARE META AXIES?
Meta axies consist of the most playable cards, which have a high effectivity to withstand the game.
COMPARISON BETWEEN NORMAL AXIE AND META AXIE
Standard Meta axies | Meta Team Composition | ||
---|---|---|---|
Plant, Bird, Beast | This meta team composition has a high damage ratio that keeps the defender axies persist in the game protected by the plant, which has the high health power that could withstand vital strikes from an opponent by using the cards that increase defense and heal the axie | Cute Bunny Team | This team composition makes your axie attacks in peril for two tries before an attack can be delivered to the opponent (Terror Chomp). When this card is chained means used with another bug card by another axie, it can create severe damage that kills an axie in a burst. |
Aqua, Beast, Plant | This team is also known as the standard team composition as it is the most balanced team. Usually, the Beast axies stay in the backline as they have a high damage appraisal and can extend their lifeline by boosting their morale if not struck by the cards that disable the last stand. | Terminators | This team composition has two stun abilities (Chomp and Sticky Goo). Both cards play defensive and offensive. Sticky Goo plays the defensive mode as it stuns the axie attacking when this axie's shield breaks, making the next attack amiss. Chomp then plays the offensive; when combined with two more cards, it stuns the axie on the front line, missing another turn to attack. |
Whether it is meta axies or not, the gameplay is not merely based on your team or the cards they possessed, more like the ability to have a great understanding of how the game flow makes the difference. With the competition of having a higher MMR becoming an issue to farm more SLP, more teams have emerged that we can no longer defend even meta axies with three high damage card bearers or high HP attackers.

All of us had been granted to play and earn. It is our responsibility to learn and compete with the demands of the arena. The question is, even if you try harder, is it still making you win? As our MMR fluctuates and we farm lesser than usual, has Axie Infinity become impossible for Scholars?
